Cherie Kirschbaum is dedicated to improving lives through real estate. She helps clients achieve social change through her breadth of real estate and development experience, combined with a deep understanding of nonprofits, foundations and private companies. Cherie provides public and private companies with expertise in strategic real estate planning; organizational readiness assessment; buy vs. lease analysis; property and land acquisition/disposition; financial mapping; public/private financing; stakeholder relationships; and project management.
Cherie, who started her first nonprofit when she was 12, is former president of Mercy Housing SouthWest, where she developed, acquired and managed more than 2,000 units of multifamily, affordable and senior housing, along with single-family homes, in Colorado and Arizona. She served on the project team that developed the HealthOne Centennial Healthcare Plaza, was director of development for the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, owned a chain of downtown Denver sundries shops and is a former registered nurse. A respected community leader, Cherie served on Denver Mayor Michael Hancock’s Community Planning & Development Transition Team. In 2001, Cherie was selected by Jewish Women International as a Woman to Watch, and in 2011 was among the Denver Business Journal’s Outstanding Women in Business.
Finding work-life balance, Cherie enjoys spending time with her husband Sam, her four grandchildren under four and has been a yoga student for many years.

Doug Miller, DBIA, MS RECM, LEED GA, Director of Real Estate
Doug has been active in the commercial real estate and construction industry. He has served as a Director of Business Development and Preconstruction for a commercial general contractor working with nonprofits and private companies to develop affordable, mixed income, mixed use multifamily and commercial projects. As City Projects Director of Real Estate Doug oversees the project team and manages all phases of the project from planning to project completion. Doug began his role as adjunct professor at the Burns School of Real Estate and Construction Management in 2014. His course, Preconstruction Integration and Planning, focuses on the preconstruction phase of facility/real estate development, the different project delivery methods, all from the perspectives of owners/developers, architects and construction managers. The course focuses on the philosophy of Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) such as CM at Risk and Design–Build. Doug thoroughly enjoys his family, guitar, skiing, mountain biking and camping when not working or teaching.

Andrew Boness, Senior Project Manager
Andrew Boness has been building commercial and residential projects for 22 years. He has managed more than $40 million worth of construction. He has built senior housing, residential mixed-use, restaurants, office, retail and warehouse. Andrew has a Construction Management Degree from the University of Wisconsin. Andrew Came to Colorado in 1998 to join the founder’s team as the Director of Construction for Noodles & Company restaurants. He has worked closely with Community Food Share to help them with their expansion needs. When he is not working, Andrew enjoys skiing and the Colorado outdoors with his wife Joanie, and daughters Anna and Julia.
